We are proud to be family owned and operated since 1977. Fred Richwine, owner, is a retired Landscape Architect and Land Use Consultant with degrees from Purdue University and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has been working as a Landscape Designer in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 45 years, and has been an integral part of numerous Land Use projects in New York, Massachusetts, and Indiana. Fred also has experience with Design/Build. While living in New York and Massachusetts he headed an Architectural Restoration business. This experience has provided the design and craftsmanship skills necessary for offering custom deck, patio, screened porch, and home addition services. Although retired, Fred is still available for consultations and appointments at the garden center.
Whitney Klein, the Garden Center manager, is Fred’s daughter and a graduate of Indiana University. After graduating in 2003 she moved back to Indianapolis to help with the family business. She mixes her love of gardening, art, and food to help customers choose the best plants for their landscape. Annual and vegetable gardening are her favorites, especially mixing edibles and flowers! Levi, her son, is generation #3 and loves Bobcats (the mulch loaders) and helping out around the garden center. She and her husband, Andrew Klein own TRAX BBQ in McCordsville. Look for BBQ pop-ups at the garden center!
